web 2.0

Web 2.0 as i understand is basically more the digital side of the web , being able to use pictures and videos to tell a story. More advance frame work and platforms that allows you to be more creative with specific web tools. It just make this century ideas and cultural practices more accessible and more fun. It is advance technology at its best and it just continues to get better.Web 2.0 gives you skills without you having to do much, which is awesome.I found the Seven Things You Should Know about Creative Commons very insightful. For example “Creative Commons invites and encourages people to use and share content in ways that benefit everyone.” It does not go against the copyright laws however it finds little opening that allows you to use some of other peoples work and ideas to to come up with even bigger and bigger things. One just have to be careful when using creative commons when it comes to jurisdictional differences.I think it is a great idea for educational purposes, advance learning and  for people who love the computer and just for the ones who are trying to complete an assignment. Digital techonology is what allows each and everyone one of us to speak ,it is how we show our creativity. Technology is not keeping us back but pushes us forward and when we become familiar with the tools availabe we can be so much and amount to such great things.According to the video How creativity is being strangled by the law, the copy right laws are preventing you from advancing not only phsically but mentally,it hinders one creativity because you need to get permission for everything.I LOVE Larry Lessig statement “the artist choice is the key for new technology” . It just allows you to visualize what one mind can create if they just had complete access. There should be a law pass giving rights to other work as long as credit is given after all a great mind is not just because of one mans work but many great minds before.
