In order to try and brighten up the apparently very dark and dreary lives that people seem to have in ds106, I have created a NICE, PEACEFUL and SERENE story for my assignment:
This story depicts a man walking peacefully through the woods to go fishing. Once he arrives at the lake, he takes a sigh of relief and drops his tackle box. He then gives his fishing rod a might flick, casting his bobber into the lake with a “plunk” and starts to slowly wind his reel. He is taken in by the tranquility around him and starts to whistle a tune. Suddenly the water stirs, he gasps and starts to desperately reel in his rod. He begins a pulled grunt as the water splashes heavier, until finally a big fish comes sloshing out of the water and the man lets out a hearty laugh for his catch.
For such a simple story it took a pretty long time to make about 3 hours. Finding all the clips was a pain with so many results only partially matching for what I was looking for. I ended up using 15 audio tracks which I feel came out pretty well, aside from the hearty laughter freesound apparently has no idea what hearty means. I chose this story with the initial inspiration of basing it of the opening of the series HunterXHunter which features our young protagonist fishing for a very large fish. Somewhere along the way I made the young protagonist more of an old man, not sure how that happened but thems the breaks.

After some thought I decided to just take out the laugh track from the ending, just didn’t belong. All other sources are the same as above though:
