Drama Queen

For this week’s audio assignment for two stars I chose to read an advertisement in Cosmopolitan magazine in my most dramatic voice. I had a lot of fun with it, although I felt silly recording it and my housemates probably think I’m crazy but it’s all for the creative good!
My process
1. Found an article in Cosmo titled “How to Look Amazing at the Gym” by Jenny Studenroth and read the first two paragraphs–only the first two since I felt like it would be funny to over-dramatize the opening “hook” of the article

2. I opened up Garage band and created a New Project, recorded my voice, and used a dramatic sound effect from youtube converted into an mp3 file from Video2mp3.net and uploaded it into my iTunes library

3. Next, I dragged the sound effect into my project and edited the volume and fade in/fade out effects so that the two pieces would flow & synced with each other
4. Then, I logged onto my Sound Cloud account and uploaded my new project by clicking the “upload and share” tab and hit “ChooseFiles” option
5. This next step was tricky, I originally saved my project as a regular document and it wasn’t uploading to neither soundcloud nor my blog since the project wasn’t saved correctly as a Podcast–*VERY IMPORTANT TO SAVE AS A PODCAST*–at least that’s what worked for me, then I uploaded the project to my iTunes library, and FINALLY was able to access this properly saved file to my soundcloud and into my post
4. Lastly, I shared my post for the world to see and enjoy listening to, hopefully laughing in the process
