Create your own verse from a song! Pick a few lines from a few of your favorite songs that have the same focus. Then, combine them together to make a new verse in a song. Make sure it makes sense and it goes together! See an example here:

This was a fairly simple assignment, but definitely fun! I went through my playlist on iTunes and came across a few songs that I thought I could find some similarities in, or at least a common theme. I listened to each song again, and found lines from all of them that could actually be thrown together to create a whole new verse in a song. My theme is “queen,” as I’m sure you can tell.
