Groovy Movie Review Crew update

This past week and a half has been insane! My group members and I have worked incredibly hard over Spring Break to finish up this assignment.

Tuesday evening, Danielle and I met up to define the assignment in depth. We had all finished our recordings, but there was much editing to be done, and we hadn’t really discussed our approach. We did a little bit of cutting and pasting with our recordings, and called it a night. We decided to split up the recordings, individually add music/sound effects, and then meet up again later in the week to put our work together.

Saturday (yesterday), Danielle and I met again in the morning for a few hours to share our work and start putting together our final project. We finished the majority of our editing, recorded a few transitions, and finished up the background music. We were both so overwhelmed! Luckily, we were able to get a good amount of work done. That way, when all three of us met up once more, we wouldn’t have too much to do.

Unfortunately, that didn’t go as smoothly as we had hoped. This morning (Sunday), Danielle, Devin and myself got together to finalize our project. We had much more work left than we had anticipated. We had to re-record our intro, paste together all of our different pieces, and put together our “The Making Of.” What a pain! We had to go back and listen to our discussions that we had recording during our meetings, and that was very time-consuming. Danielle and I actually worked almost two hours past what we had planned. On the bright side, we finally finished putting our whole show together. FI-NAL-LY. :) Although this assignment was way more intense and time-consuming than I had imagined, I’m very satisfied with the way our show turned out.
