this is an excerpt from Edgar Allan Poe’s The Pit and The Pendulum. A very dark tale about a convicted mans imprisonment. It seemed to me when I first read it to surpass normal terms of emotion but to deal with the human limits of emotion, not an easy thing to write about, the point where fear becomes something else entirely. well enjoy, I tried to not put to much emphasis on any one part or embellish anything, thats not what this is about. this is about the limit of emotion being reached, so what happens when you cant yell any louder or open your eyes any wider….
