After a long wait, here is our radio show in its completeness! It was quite the process to complete, but we finally did it and KAV is ready to be heard! Before, I blogged about the some of the obstacles we faced and hard to believe – but we encountered even more issues after that! It was the third (or fourth or fifth?) time we were going through the process when we lost all our work again. Abby, Victoria and I just sat and stared at the computer screen, feeling defeated once again. But, we had to get it done so we started again. This time, we just decided that we would do the entire over and in just ONE sitting.
You could hear the defeated tone in our voices during the first few segments. But we decided that if we were going to go through this again, we had to do it right. We flew through it this time! We already knew what to say and when to say it. What took a bulk of our time was actually was actually editing the transitions and making sure there were no awkward pauses or abrupt sounds. Since this was not our first rodeo with GarageBand, we pretty much knew how to split tracks, create new tracks and even add special sound effects. If one positive thing can come out of us having to re-do our radio show over and over again, it is that we really learned how to use the program and I would feel comfortable doing it again. We had a lot of fun, despite our difficulties and I think we did a great job considering all circumstances!
