So for my final project, I’ve decided to blog about my new job at Hartwood Animal Hospital. The timing couldn’t be more perfect- I got the job just in time to share my experiences there with everyone else!

I’m assuming that not everyone is as obsessed with animals and working with them as I am, so it may not seem so appealing. However, there are so many different aspects to this job that I never could have imagined. There are tons of pictures and stories; it’s bound to appeal to everyone one way or another. There’s definitely the whole cute/fluffy animal aspect to it, but then there’s the science/surgery/gruesomeness to it as well. So cool. Easily the best job I’ve ever had, even though I just started.

Additionally, it’s an amazing learning experience. I want to be able to use this final project as a way to communicate what I learn there with everyone else who doesn’t have this opportunity. I literally learn something new each day I’m there, and all I want to do is talk about my day there once I leave. (I’m actually itching to start blogging about it now, but I don’t want to give away too much.) I think this will be a perfect way to share my experiences and progress toward my career with the world… well, mainly DS106.
