Final Project Discussion

I just spoke with Rachel about ideas for our final projects.

I’m thinking I want to do some kind of infographic or something along those lines. I mentioned that in my other post about my Final Project and I referenced the Little Red Riding Hood animation, but I’ve been thinking more about it, and that seems too ambitious, especially since I haven’t started yet (I know, not good).

Since we watched that in class I’ve been thinking about the movie Stranger Than Fiction (2006). I really didn’t like that movie much, Will Ferrell made me sad and the plot freaked me out, but whoever was in charge of the animation was on point. I’m not sure what it’s called, but they kind of overlaid information on top of the video of him doing things, like brushing his teeth or putting on a tie. It looked so cool and it was kind of like an information overload, but it was in the same vein as the Little Red Riding Hood animation.

This clip shows what I’m talking about:

Again, I have no idea how to do this but I really want to do something that’s like a more amateur version.

Rachel’s idea sounds cool, too. She is going to take inspiration from “Young Me Now Me”, which is a website where people recreate childhood pictures of theirs. She is going to use her own childhood pictures and create them again now. She may use audio from some home videos or something along those lines. I think her idea sounds pretty good.
