Technology to promote higher learning!

In the twenty first century, we are being exposed to many
different technologies, and because technology has increased the intensity and
complexity of literate environments, we must change the way we teach!
Multimodality is essential to the 21st century classroom and if these resources
are used effectively, they can both enhance and promote higher learning.

The 21st century demands that a literate person must possess a range of multiple, dynamic, and pliable literacies (NCTE, 2008). Students must have ways of acquiring and knowing information from vast knowledge bases using skills such as: critical thinking, problem solving, global awareness, and collaboration. As teachers, strategies we should use should include: project based learning, student centered learning, and technology integration.
