Week 2 Summary: Giving “Bootcamp” the Boot!

Found this banner of Week 2 picture online and thought it was pretty cool.

Alright, so here is my Week 2 Summary and I want to first start off by saying that I LOVE THIS COURSE!  It’s so much fun and I actually, for the first time in my entire life, look FORWARD to the work that I have to do.  Never have I once ever actually enjoyed homework and assignments in my courses.  This, however, is pure gold.

My Week 2 Daily Creates post can be found here and I hope that you check them out.  I’ve got two pictures and a video!  I had a really fun time making them.  The first one is my rainy day photo.  It was literally raining on one side and sunny on the other side.  So crazy.  My second DC was a video of my dog stormy!  Explanation just doesn’t do a justice for that one so go check it out.  My third DC was a picture of a checker piece that I took a photo of spinning.  My grandpa gave it to me and he died in 2003 so I thought it would be a good way to remember him by.

My Creative Commons post can be found here and I hope that you also check that out.  More informative, but still worth a read for sure because I wrote it :-)  I’ve already installed a Creative Commons plugin and will start licensing my work!  It sounds crazy to say that, but it’s actually a really good idea and I learned a lot doing some research on that.

My Digital Storytelling post can be found here and I REALLY enjoyed doing this because of how awesome it was learning how to create an animated gif.  I am probably going to invest in some software to create gifs a little bit easier because they are awesome to make and make for some really awesome laughs.  Not sure what software to get yet, but I’ll figure that out.  I really need to learn Photoshop because apparently that’s an easy way to make gifs?

I also thought that I would change it up a bit this week and create a video reflecting on the first week and talking a bit about my blog.  If you have time, I suggest that you check this out because it’s pretty cool!

I had a really great time making the video and a blast doing the work for this week.  I hope that the pace of the class continues to head down this direction of pure awesomeness and I am really looking forward to the rest of the semester!

Also, watch this video in 720p if you can!  I didn’t invest all this money in this camera for you to play it in a crappy quality!!

Also, just in case you all aren’t aware.  Today is OFFICIALLY the first day of the 2012 NFL Season!  Cowboys and Giants play tonight at 8:30 so I definitely had to make sure that I got all of my work done before they played.  I know that it’s going to be a depressing time of the year for me because, sadly, the Rams will lose a good majority of their games.  I’ll probably be doing a lot of complaining on here about them so saddle up for that!

I feel like my post is a little short, but I’ve got my video in there that covers a good majority of the stuff that we were actually supposed to type out so, unless I hear from any of the Camp Counselors that it’s not good enough, I’m leaving it as is!  Enjoy!!
