Week Three it Be!

Unfortunately, before I am taught what Digital Storytelling it, I have to define it myself… *Sigh* well here it goes…

In this tale about tales, you will find out how I feel about old tales and new tales, but nothing about tails.

I thought long and hard about what story I would portray in my story in the style of ye olde Cap’n Kurt. I came up with the first Harry Potter. Pirates love Harry Potter. If you didn’t know, now you do.
I’d like to apologise for the handwriting by the way. In my conquests of football in the year past, I broke my wrist, had to have surgury (doctor wouldn’t agree to replace my hand with hook), and I’m still less dextarius than I would like.

The Daily Creates I did this week were relatively simple. I did most of them when I was at work. My boss loves me anyways.
So I figured if a giraffe tried to assimilate into this world of ours, it would need to drive a car. Unfortunately, with this economy, and the limited budget of an animal just introduced to society with no credit or much money to it’s name, the only car I figured a Giraffe could afford is a small compact car. Fortunately, this one had a sunroof. Giraffe in a car.

At work, I was thinking of things I could take pictures of up close. Then my boss asked me to take the trash out. I killed two birds with one stone with this one…

My other two Daily Creates were done at home after the Redskins lost to the Rams. As you can tell, I live in die by my teams. If the Redskins blow a game like they did, I go into a delicate state. Luckily, two of the Daily Creates let me express exactly how I feel.
This is what I miss:
I miss this...
And this is what makes me angry:
What makes me angry

Then, your Cap’n was asked to tell a story using five pictures. So, I whiped out “Ye Olde Smart Phone” and was off to story telling with a tale of a Humpty Dumpty-esque tale, except this time, it was no accident. Let me revive this story for you again in Good Eggs, Gone Rotten.

Unfortunately, I procratinated a lot this week because of work and tests I had to study for, so I did a lot of my commenting late. I really love how creative my classmates are. Like Peggy from the customer service commercials, “You inspire me!” This week was a rude awakening for me as far as my participation goes. I’m going to be much more active now. I loved all the posts I saw for the most part! Some people went all out for some of these assignments and that’s good! To get myself out there, I’ve posted comments with my Twitter tag in them and have been following people on Twitter and posting somethings on Twitter with the #DS106 tag.

Week three, again, was a rude awakening for me as far as I should be much more active during the week. I need help mostly on figuring out how to do things like redirect my domain to my WordPress site. I also get frustrated when I try to download things and the downloads don’t work, but I realise that’s what we use Twitter for. I MISS PHOTOSHOP! I’m not willing to pay the stiff prices to get it though, but I used to use Photoshop all the time in High School and at Nova when I was at the Woodbridge campus. I need a program where I can edit pictures EASILY like a Photoshop. If anyone can suggest a program for me, or have a Photoshop hookup, LET ME KNOW! After figuring out how to embed, I feel more comfortable with my blog but I realise I can’t do much on my own, so I intend to be much more active in future weeks.
