What is The Hobbit shaped like?

After I saw the Kurt Vonnegut “Shape of Stories” video I started playing around with some of my favorite stories. I chose to display the graph I made of The Hobbit‘s plot.

To begin, Bilbo is happier than the average hobbit with a beautiful house at Bag End where he can enjoy his numerous meals, fine wines, and his pipe. Gandalf and the dwarves recruit him for an adventure where Bilbo finds that adventures aren’t as comfortable as the Shire(first dip). Throughout the story Bilbo finds his inner Took and begins to enjoy the arduous journey(incline). Towards the end of the story Bilbo has to face the dragon Smaug as well as greedy dwarves(second dip). After surviving the battle of the five armies, Bilbo returns home wealthier than imaginable(second incline). When Bilbo returns he finds that he is no longer content in the Shire and he cannot be as happy as he was before the journey.
