Act V Analysed

Listening to this story showed me how much of an effect laying music can change the tone of what you are listening to. Sometimes the music can settle a person down or amp a person up, but it can also make a person feel something completely else. During the beginning of this story, music is played that is suggestive of a hip-hop sound which can make a person think of a wide variety of thing, depending on a persons’ personal opinion of the genre. I connected the music to feel like the story at the time had a rhythmic flow, and a sort of stylish and fresh feel that one doesn’t normally associate with Hamlet. The dialogue throughout the story was humorous and personable. Very engaging and easy to follow. A variety of different people with drastically different voices gave more character to the characters. Thus, the layering of the music with the varying voices kept me engaged the whole hour+ the recording lasted, without feeling like it was dragging, so it was thoroughly enjoyable.
