I listened to ds106 radio on Tuesday night with my fwenddd Enisa! It was an interesting experience. We used iTunes to listen to the radio and it was cool because it was just like a regular song on iTunes but it was live broadcasting from the radio, however that works. When we were listening, the server status page fluctuated between 3 and 4 listeners. So we both started tweeting @ds106radio about how we were both listening and Enisa started asking for a live broadcast! Then someone came on a live feed!

Someone random came onto ds106radio and he was talking about he was in En Route in Ontario. I have no idea what En Route is… is it a grocery store or something they have in Canada? It seemed like it coulda been something like that because there was music on in the background… or it could’ve been a coffee shop or something like that too! But whatever it was, it was cool listening to someone live broadcast and know that it was because we tweeted at them that it happened! Here’s my tweet about the live broadcast:

Also, most of the music on ds106radio is pretty good… Some stuff that I’ve never heard of before but could definitely see myself getting interested in and listening to often. Like Childish Gambino, I know a lot of people like them, but I honestly know nothing about them. He sounds a little like Hoodie Allen and Sam Adams. But as of right now I like Hoodie and Sammy better only because I’ve heard more of their stuff. Maybe I’ll keep listening to ds106radio and see what else they can play!
