For the ds106 Radio show, through majority voting, we have decided to take on the theme of Things to do around DC. We would do it as if we were traveling through DC meeting new people and talking about the sites and sounds we would see. We would go indepth on what it would be like to be visiting it in the present, so possibly make a radio show that is as if the listener is touring the sites as we talk about them. We would not just point out oh there this is there that is ohh and definitely stay away from this area. It was brought up that we would talk about sites around the Potomac, like Georgetown and the National Harbor. It would be cool to do mock interviews…in a sense if we were touring around DC and randomly asked someone about the museum that was just passed. The idea of a “radio drama” would be cool to kindof portray tourist going through DC and the hassles they may face and ways in which to avoid them or kindof have a comical outlook on all the stressful annoying things a lot of tourist face when visiting DC. The group is using email and canvas at the moment to communicate but it will be mentioned to either meet in person or join some sort of chat room to advance our progress on the project.
