This week’s major assignment was to go on a 20 minute photo-blitz somewhere with lots of interesting subjects. The assignment was to take a photo of your start time and end time and then take as many photos as possible in between. The goal was to take photos that fit into certain categories. (Such as a photo that shows openness, makes use of converging lines, is mainly one color, shows human emotion, etc.) Then choose the 5 best photos to put on flickr and your blog.
For my 20 minute photo-blitz I decided to take pictures on campus. Our campus is beautiful so I was sure that I could capture some great pictures!
I started in front of George Washington Hall
Then I headed to the amphitheater.
I took a picture of the stage and some of the front seating. I felt like it showed a very open space.
In the amphitheater area I noticed this tree:
This tree has lot of symbols and a few hearts that look like they were carved by couples. I think this shows human emotion! Especially the hearts resembling love.
I noticed a hill covered in weeds, I thought it would create a cool picture resembling a single color.
This steep staircase shows use of converging lines:
And the overhang shelter in front of the library looks really cool from this angle!
I finished just in time in front of the Nest.
This adventure was a blast! My new favorite spot on campus is the amphitheater. It is so unique, rustic, and peaceful.
As I looked through everyone else’s photo-blitz photos…
I really liked this abstract photo! Very creative idea to take a picture of a portion of a painting.
I loved this photo of the piano! The use of converging lines and the angle are fantastic! It also has a glow that makes it look supernatural possibly.
I really like the way the sun is hitting this bike rack, and I love the shadow it produced!
