Here are some of my favorite shots:

phonograph

Angle

House

Cat Emotion

At first, I was really focused on getting everything I needed. Then, after about ten minutes in, I just started snapping everything around my house. Of course, the humans in my house did NOT want to participate, so even though I had already taken photos of my dogs for ds106, you all got to meet my cat. She’s Fiona and she has TONS of attitude! I chose my house because I had just finished working 12 consecutive hours and I need somewhat controlled lighting since it was pitch black outside (not so good for pictures). I enjoyed just clicking again and again, not really evaluating what I had until the end. I think emotion photos are easiest, simply because everyone, even animals, are showing some kind of emotion at all times. Angle ones were pretty easy too. I wish I had a better camera, and one that showed the right date (my pictures say they were taken on Jan. 1, 2010–not true). The whole experience brought me back to high school, because I had a photography (film, paper, liquid baths, the works of old school photos) class and it was SUPER labor intensive because of how sensitive film is.

I chose the photos to upload to flickr because I thought they were either thought provoking or so cute. My sister is a really good graphic artist, so I took pictures of her work (take a picture of something someone might ask…’is that a photograph?’). Her graphic art of House, which has over 1000 layers and won first place in a school wide art show, is incredible in the detail. (which means my photo of it is too…right?). I also think I just picked some of my favorites at the moment; if I did it again, I might choose five or more different ones.
