Baby’s Blue Balloon Makes Her Fly

This assignment was to take a photo and turn into black and white, but keep the original color for one single object. I kinda knew how to do this just from fiddling around before with the photo editing software, Picasa, that I like to use for all of my pictures. But I couldn’t remember how to use it. So I just clicked the Help button and figured it out from there.

I used the Focal B&W effect to edit this photo. It enabled me to turn the picture black and white while keeping a circular area the original color. So I was just flicking through some of my favorite pictures from high school, and decided to use this picture and highlight the blue balloon. And the title of this blog post is from one of my favorite songs, “Black Balloon” by the Goo Goo Dolls just because the blue balloon made me think of it!

Blue Balloon

This is a picture from my senior year from my outdoor track team’s end of season banquet. I love this picture because it has some of my best friends in it and we all look so happy!
