I would have to start off by saying thanks for the extra credit opportunity that was posted on Twitter. I am not much of a Twitter person and to get rewarded for utilizing the site and a big thumbs up in my book. I would have to say that this week has been a really challenging week as I am photo challenged 85% of my photos have some type of blurred image in them i believe because my hands shake too much when I am trying to focus on something lol.
I think that the main thing that I took from this tips on photography was to pay attention to the moment. I had no idea that so much happened around me until I was assigned to capture it. I realized that numbers and letters are all around me and even the most obvious things are there ready to be captured.
The Photoblitz assignment was very fun and challenging so I tried to do them all in the 20 minutes and actually injured myself by tripping over my son’s bike. I had a blast and I really enjoyed looking and commenting on others photos. I like looking at others work because it’s a way of me seeing things through their eyes (or should I say lenses?) I had the most fun taking a picture of the shadow because we had to create one using a lamp and our trusty hands which reminded me of being in grade school again. http://shenikarich.com/photoblitzing/
It interesting spiffing up my Flickr account I had no idea that it was had that many features and options to share my work. I did not want to attach my Flickr activity to my Facebook account because frankly I only use my Facebook to stay in contact with people and they probably would not understand what is going on lol! http://www.flickr.com/photos/shenikarich/
My favorite assignments like always is the daily creates but I must say because this week all the assignments consisted of taking photos and creating things I don’t know if daily creates can hold their place too much longer. You can check out my work at http://shenikarich.com/daily-creates-2/
?This week we had to complete 10 stars worth of work and I selected items from the list that was provided on the blog. I would have to say that this was a challenge because I had to do things out of my comfort zone. I had never added text or edited a photo before and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of things that you can do easily and for free on the internet. Recently I fussed at my sister for adding all kinds of prompts and effects to all her photos that she was adding to Facebook and now I see why she does it because it is totally cool.

I am looking forward to working with the people for my group project because each week the assignments are getting better and better when I first signed up for this class I did not know what to expect but I can truly say that by far this course is the best choice that I have taken so far in my curriculum.
