The first daily create of the week that I did was “Today is World Vegetarian Day- make a photo that celebrates this holiday.” Naturally the first thing I did when I found out it was World Vegetarian Day was text my sister, who is a vegetarian and wish her a happy eating day! After I texted her I went into my freezer and took a pictures of a bag of vegetable I could find, sense to me vegetables is what represents Vegetarians to me. I took a picture then uploaded the image to flickr and added the tags: Photo Booth, tdc267, dailycreate, and vegetarian. The broccoli in the picture helps to add unity to the picture, each broccoli peace helps to add to the picture while still having its own unity. The broccoli peaces also help to add color to the image.
The second daily create that I did for the week was “Imagine your own personal font (typeface) and draw the letters of your name.” I chose to do a font that was simplistic in a sense yet still has some character to it. It helps to relate to myself because I enjoy simplicity yet I can be complex and I have a unique character. To create this I drew it and then took a picture of what I wrote and then uploaded it onto flickr. On flickr I added the tags: tdc268 and dailycreate.
The third daily create that I did this week was ”From memory, draw the floor plan of the house you grew up in.” I thought this was a cool daily create and it wasn’t to terrible to do. To create the image, I drew my homes floor plan on a piece of paper then took a picture of it with my camera on my computer. The layout of my house helped to show proportion and dominance. It helped to show door size proportional to room size. It also showed how rooms had dominance over doors and bathrooms. Once the image was saved onto my computer it was uploaded onto flickr and the following tags were applied: Photo Booth, tdc270, dailycreate, layout, and roughdrawing.
The last daily create that I did this week was “Add crazy effects to your favorite song! e.g. as if performed by visitors form outer space.” To create this daily create I used Audacity and the song All I Ever Wanted by Chuck Wicks. I Imported the song into Audacity and then messed around with the pitch and how fast or slow the song was played to add “crazy effects.” Overall it was interesting to see how each slight change to pitch or speed impacted the song. Once I was done editing the song I saved it onto my computer. I then clicked on the tdc272 group link, found on The Daily Create website, and uploaded the new song creation onto the page. No tags were needed sense the song was autimatically linked to the group and The Daily Create website, sense I added it to the group.
