Our roadtrip radio (digging the phrase coined by Kiersten) made some significant progress this week I think! Before this week, we had decided upon doing a roadtrip radio experience. We wanted to have a whole family going on a trip together and then to have the car suddenly break down and that would force them to all come together as a family to fix it!

This week, we kind of got a grasp on the roles people would be playing and started brainstorming ideas about what would be going on during this car trip. We decided on a cross country of sorts tour, seeing the sights, all organized by the parents. The mom and dad (Kiersten being the mom and Nathan being the dad… makes sense) are really excited about this trip and want their daughters (3 of them, me, Grace, and Brittany) to see the famous sites in the country. One of the daughters will be played by Grace and her role is that she is a surfer chick who would rather be surfing the whole summer than going on this silly trip. And for me, another daughter, I’m a soccer player who is really upset about not getting to play at all this summer because she’s going on this family vacation. And the third daughter, Brittany, is turning 21 soon and is planning to sneak away from the family to go to Vegas to celebrate.

So right now, we are currently brainstorming more about where the parents wanna go, what kinds of things are going on in the car (games played, conversations, music, arguments, etc.) and how/where the car will break down. I’m getting more and more excited for this as more things are getting planned!
