As part of our cooperation with the phonar course we are sharing this excellent 2010 talk on storytelling, Narrative, Power and Responsibility by Professor David Campbell.
What phonar asks of its students and participants is to tweet out notes they think as they listen to the talk, which are collected and shared as a storify. We like this idea, so are asking ds106 participants to join in.
Here is what to do, as you listen to Professor Campbell’s talk, tweet any ideas that jump put at you, or make you go “woah”, or even things you disagree with — what Gardner Campbell, no relation, calls “nuggets”
Starting with a nugget: Bill Viola’s theory of continuous existence. #vtnmsf11

Send these out on twitter as you listen, and include the special hash tag #ds106notes – and we will gather them as well in a storify to share with our phonar friends.
Special BONUS for UMW ds106 students We will offer an extra 5 point bonus this week to any student who tweets at least 4 nuggets and blogs a summary of what they gained from this talk (include your tweets too).
