Weeks 13 and 14 were a rough time for me. My parents went on vacation, left me at home, my grandfather passed away, I was thrown into planning a funeral that was more than a week later. I honestly hadn’t even thought about school work. I didn’t go to class for over a week. I was way too busy.

I did end up getting a one day extension, I don’t want to fall behind on the other work for the end of the semester so I’m just going to turn in what I did, which is nothing. I watched the videos on remixing, and wrote a blog post but that is about all I got around to doing… I’m rather ashamed of this…

For the rest of the blog post I will talk about what I WOULD HAVE done, had I had more time.

For the mash up assignments, I was going to do the assignment Opposites Attract in which I was going to mash two different songs together that normally would have never worked. I was going to mash together the Glee Version of Smooth Criminal and Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites by Skrillex. I was going to use the beat from SMNS and put it behind the lyrics to Smooth Criminal (made famous by Michael Jackson).

I was also going to complete the assignment One Movie Watches Another, I was going to use Scary Movie when they are sitting in the theatre and I was going to make them watch the commercial for Paranormal Activity.

To remix an old assignment is hilarious. I took the assignment Face In a Hole and remixed it. It told me to use a picture of another family member, maybe my Uncle Bob. I actually have an Uncle named Bob, and I have a picture of him. I would have used that picture to make my Face in a Hole.

I will me making 2 assignments and completing them as planned. I will have that turned in before Sunday.

Tutorials as well. This will probably incorporate photography. It just makes everything easier. Seeing as how I’m a photographer and all.

My plans for the final project are as follows. I chose my character Haymitch Abernathy from the Hunger Games, played by Woody Harrelson in the movie.

Audio: Radio broadcast of Haymitch telling everyone about his Tributes (Katniss and Peeta)
Web: A Facebook page for Haymitch talking about how drunk he gets and outlining things that will happen during the Hunger Games
Visual: Playlist of Sad songs that Haymitch will play at the funeral of one of his Tributes (only one can live)
Video: Haymitch talking about the Hunger games leading up to when both Katniss and Peeta win.

This actually sounds like fun and not too much work! Hopefully I can get it all done. I’m again really sorry weeks 13 and 14 didn’t turn out really well.
