Are you waiting for a sequel? Is Hollywood not going to give you that satisfaction, or is your patience with them just wearing thin? Well then do I have the assignment for you!

This assignment asks to “Create a movie poster for a movie sequel that you wished they would have made. You can create a poster for a movie that will never be made or one that those people in Hollywood are taking too long to produce! As an alternative, if there already is a sequel and you think you could’ve made a better movie poster, show us!”

I had this idea from a project I created in Photoshop a few years back. I unfortunately no longer have access to that computer/all the files have been wiped. Otherwise, I would have an excellent example of me becoming impatient with Hollywood…(Yes, I’m copping out)

However, I will try to give you an image of what I did: The movie S.W.A.T. came out in 2003 and then S.W.A.T. Firefight came out in 2011…seriously? It wasn’t the greatest movie, but I wanted another movie…and it took them 8 years?!?! NO. So I created a project for another class with S.W.A.T. 2 (with all the original characters mind you) and made a movie poster for it. (I probably could’ve written the whole movie too!) Anyways, I took photos of the main characters from the first movie and placed different images on the cover. I then put in some buildings and a helicopter flying around the city. It was going to turn out into a heist-like scenario because those are my favorite kind of movies: InsideMan, The Italian Job, The Town just to name a few. And now that I mention them, I could use a sequel to Inside Man, that movie was B-A-D-A-S-S. Maybe when it’s not finals week and I have some more time, I’ll properly do this assignment and make another Inside Man, but until then, it’s up to my fellow and future DS106ers to lead the way on this one! Show me what you’re made of!
