Makeup Class – Final Projects; Class Wrap-Up

Digital storytelling for me now just describes the way one is able to illustrate his/her ideas using things he/she created on or posted to the internet. Although I could have learned more at a faster pace if I had a mac and adobe software I did learn a lot with the tools I had. I gained experience using the latest versions of adobe software; Photoshop, Audition, and After Effects. Although I am not a pro yet in these programs I have learned quite a lot of things. I feel that I’ve gained a higher level of confidence in myself and the work that Im able to put out. From the blog to the final project I feel that I’ve given all assignments in DS106 the effort they deserved with the time and tools I had. One of my favorite assignments going back would have to be the GIF. I feel that the GIF opened many doors for my creativity know that I am able to make one. I would have to say making a GID and remixing Jim Grooms animated comic book cover were my best assignments because they both posed major challenges for me. I wanted the challenge to help me improve on the skill I had while learning new techniques. If I knew anyone taking this class next year I would advise them to acquire adobe products and learn them because that will make life so much easier. The only thing I would change is nothing, I would give free adobe downloads to the individuals in the course. Doing this would most likely lessen the load of having to spend long hours traveling back and forth to school if you have the software you need on your personal computer.
