Wise Owl Story

copy-cropped-owl-header2.jpgWhen I hear the word Storytelling I think of all the books I have read and those that have been read to me.  I think of oral stories as well as written ones.  Stories can be new or pasted down through time.  Storytelling takes place in literature, art, music, dance, life, and so much more.  All of these mediums are need to get across different images, people. places, and sounds.  People tell stories differently depending on who they are, the story they are telling, and who they are telling them to.  I associate storytelling mostly to written literature I’ve delved into and oral telling by friends and family.

The word digital usually coincides with electronics.  Introducing the word “digital” to storytelling narrows down the type of story.  Most would assume it is a electronic story or video.  Movies or clips.  However I think digital storytelling is anything do with electronics.  So it could still be a video, but also a picture, a typed story, an audio telling, and much more.  I believe the only change from that of just storytelling is the use of technology to get the story across.  The premise and message remains the same
