A little less routine

This week I only managed to get three Daily Creates done.

Wednesday

The task: Retitle a movie poster to make it more accurate.

WAIT! This was my suggestion! :D

I was so excited to see it up there, and then when people started posting their movie posters, I got even more excited!

I’m so glad people had fun with this. I’ve seen something similar to this on other websites, but I really wanted to have a go at making my own–especially after making that Julia Child movie poster.

Tom Hanks in...

Unfortunately, the font for the Tom Hanks movie is very expensive, so I settled with this font.

I also included some quotes down at the bottom as part of the “tracks.”

I used Corel PaintShop Pro X5 for this one.

Saturday

The task: Create some kind of pattern of things on your desk right now.

I had just cleaned off my desk before I read this daily create. But I had gotten out some highlighters, sticky notes, and a few binder clips to read a book for class.

Color for Emphasis

I love to make rainbows with my pens and markers, so I decided that was the best way to make a pattern.

My kindle is in there, too, somewhere.

Sunday

The task: Record four sounds related to/resultant from any one daily activity. No Words.

I’m very sensitive to noise, so I don’t make a lot of noise if I can help it. So I sat and thought about what is something I do that is noisy. First I thought running the dishwasher, but I just did that yesterday, so I don’t want to waste water. Then I realized I hadn’t done something yet this weekend, so I went ahead and did it. It resulted in this sound below:

By the end of the clip, you probably figured out I had to vacuum today.

I did have to mess with the sound a little bit in Audition. The last part of the clip was far too long so I cut a good section of it out. I also lowered the volume a little because it was SO loud.
