The journey through visual week definitely tops that of audio week. Although audio week taught me a lot that I didn’t know, visual week brought me back to comfort zone, because who doesn’t love taking pictures and would rather do that than hears themselves? Definitely me. It was a bit overwhelming since I was sick but I got through it ontop and stronger than ever. I also got to meet a new comment group and I have to say, I definitely do enjoy being able to switch up the class and get to know more people. However, although our team name is team awesome, it does not mean that I will stop looking at other blogs…because I definitely find helpful stuff all over the place!

So lets get the basic links out of the way before we really get our hands dirty with the ends and out of visual week! First off, check out my PhotoBlitz Assignment! I promise it’s incredibly entertaining, especially since I was sick, so you can see how creative I got within the confines of my own room. Even if you find my own really boring, I did post about some other ones that will grab your attention as much it did mine. Also, I did more than 10 stars this week just because I got really into the assignments, especially since a lot were so easy and like I said, I’m a much bigger sucker for visual than audio! Check out my cool and awesome visual assignments ! (By the way, each one of those leads you into a different visual assignment, even the exclamation point. )

I’m still struggling trying to get a flickr set to embed even though I’ve attempted to download a plugin for the past two days. Now I’m turning to you, my readers, to help me get through this. Every time I try to download any plugin, I am hit with this message. (see below!) Please tell me what I’m doing wrong! Here’s my post otherwise, (click me!), and although I tried to act like I knew what I was doing, and too proud to admit I need help, I really do. So I am at your mercy.

So for this week, we got really really really into photography, more specifically how to be a better photographer. The suggestions we were given were really helpful, such as get balanced and change my perspective by changing yours, which I found the most helpful. Half of the fun in photography is being able to keep someone on their toes and what better way to do this than to mix up a bit, no? Angle is key and you have to be picky to be perfect. For more of my amateur ranting, check out my own post about it. This week also help me really put more perspective into my three DC’s. I know they’re meant to get you into each week and really understand the lessons but this week, I managed to put more meaning behind them and really understand basic facts about photography and how even small assignments like the DC’s can show how well you know a subject.

Is it too cheesy to say that I learned to look at the world in a new perspective? Yeah probably but I don’t care! I learned that photography still has meaning and relates to you all over the place. That just because you take a picture doesn’t make it art but that just because you have an iphone doesn’t mean you can’t contribute ’cause you can. This entire week just made me want to go out and buy an extremely nice camera to be able to photograph every moment. Honestly. Photographs are one of the most beautiful inventions because you’re able to capture an entire moment, you are able to relive that one experience by seeing this photograph over and over again, and how this one memory is totally frozen. This week gave me a new appreciation for those who dedicate themselves to this, for those who look at life and have the job of capturing moments. Oh, this week I also learned that I suck at tutorials. I attempted to make one for my friend in this class and I only ended up showing her what not to do, which I didn’t even know was possible. So please do not come here for any tutorials..ever!
