The Best of the Bunch, a set on Flickr.
I didn’t realize it when I was making my first Flickr set, but all of these photos are from campus. Like I’ve said in earlier posts, I am feeling rather clingy to my experiences here at UMW. Even though I’ll be back next year for my Masters, I don’t feel like it’ll be the same.
In all of these photos, it’s like taking a new perspective on my time here at Mary Washington.
I never look up in Trinkle. I’m always rushing to get to class.
In the same way, I never stop and think about how old Trinkle is, how it used to be the library, and how I’m walking the same halls as the women who came before me.
Oh Monroe! I don’t think I’ll ever have that perspective again, but it does remind me of their huge whiteboards and random blue pinboards.
Simpson library is definitely a second home to me, so looking down the stacks is very comforting. I can almost smell the books.
Walking to class hasn’t been the same since I took this picture. I notice all the details on manhole covers now. MANHOLE COVERS of all things.
And thank you Kelsie for posting the tutorial. I was at a loss for awhile!
