This was the six-word memoir, the assignment details are here. A huge part of my personality is my heritage. Although I’m second-generation American, I’m still very aware of my Mexican culture and all that it has to offer. So I decided to take an image of the border, and I added a layer of shading in the background to further emphasize the white font. I did this through paint mostly because GIMP continues to hate me. I used one of my favorite fonts, cooperplate with a font size 44. The saying means that although a lot of people look down on Mexicans, and claim they’re illegal immigrants, but we are capable of so much more than we are credited for. Three beautiful ?’s.
