So Team Awesome has a pretty solid idea of what we’re doing. In case you previously missed our ideas, I’ll lay it out again. We plan on doing a into the future and into the past radio drama, with loads of comedy and funny tidbits, with some actual facts buried deep within. Since our group is mostly made up of two, we decided to divy up the work in one way: my partner (confusedeasily) will be focusing her part of the segment on the future. We’ll be doing this in sort of a couple format, ya know, with the girlfriend being really interested in the future while the boyfriend is stuck in the past, and by that, I don’t mean relative past, I mean going deep within the past, 40′s & 50′s era. That’s where I come in, my focus will be in the past. I’m actually really excited about this because the first inspiration that came to me was two video games, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. For those of you who haven’t heard of/ played the game, they’re focused in the super future, about 1,000+ years into the future but throughout the game, parts of it are set in old-fashioned time, and not 2013 old-fashioned but into the 1900′s old fashioned. This is what mostly inspired my poster (see below!) and it’s also what’s playing a big role into what I have in mind for my segment in the radio show. However, just because each of us are in charge of a set amount of time, it doesn’t mean that we won’t be involved in each other’s pieces, we just wanted to show how differently we interpreted the assignment / show each of our creative outlets! I will also be drawing inspiration from my grandparents because nothing quite compares to actually being there. (Video games and readings can only take you so far…) Anyways, keep tuned in for more updates!
