Week 7 & 8 Daily Creates

March 2

Task: Take a photo looking out your best day dreaming window. include the frame in your shot.

I was a bit liberal with the meaning of this daily create. I wear glasses, so I figured that they are my best day dreaming windows–plus they have frames!

March 3

Task: Write one line from a song that predicts how your day will go, another how it really went.

I wrote my response about how I had a paper to write that day.

I had a paper to write, so I kept hoping this is how my day would go. I’m capable, and can take this on.

By the end of my “day” it had become morning, and I wanted to sleep anywhere I could lay my head. I figured this line definitely captured that feeling!

March 7

Task: Describe one unusual, small thing that brings you joy, e.g. driving under an underpass in the rain.

This was my submission!! Surprisingly, I had to really think about my response to it, though.

I love driving at night on the highway when there are no cars behind you shining their headlights into your mirrors. Probably my favorite thing when I’m driving.

It’s just dark.

Now I know you can usually flip down your rearview mirror, but then I lose my perception of distance when cars are behind me.

March 8

Task: Take a picture of something in your car. Title the picture as if it’s a movie poster.

I don’t have anything in my car… so I saw this and thought about the movie Speed (1994). So this is my ode to Speed. I did this in Corel PaintShop Pro in only a few minutes. I copied the bottom text from a Speed 2 movie poster with a few “I don’t understand what that says, so I’m winging it.”

March 10

Task: Make a video of yourself eating something you absolutely can’t stand.

Okay, I cheated a little bit with this one, but I have an excuse! I ate something I didn’t know I hated. BUT! Almost guaranteed, if I’m trying something new, I will hate it. And sure enough, I hated this pastry I found in Seacobeck. I already hate pastries, but this one was just weird. The texture the middle fruit thing. Yuck.

March 14

Task: Take a picture of something you collect.

I took this photo awhile ago, I’ll admit it. I was really proud of the shadow box. My dad drilled a slot into the top, too!

I’m a big fan of collecting tickets. Sometimes, I’ll go through them and laugh at concerts or movies I went to see. I often can remember who I was with and everything about the movie day. It’s kind of like my way of scrapbooking.
