TDC week 9

This week, we have to complete three daily creates but there’s a twist: We have to tie our three DCs together some way to create a story! I did all three of my DCs first and then went back and decided how I was going to tie them together. I didn’t even create captions for them until I knew for sure what my direction was going to go in. In this post, I will show you all three of my DCs and then show you the story and my thought process behind it. Enjoy!

Tuesday’s DC – Take a photo of a license plate that makes you look twice.

Story (3/3)

I kept my eyes open for a good license plate all day on Tuesday. I couldn’t find one so I was disappointed. But then, on Wednesday, I ran into this clever little one {hehe, get it?! :)}

Wednesday’s DC – Do aliens exist or not?

Curly Sue actually completed this daily create:

You’re just joshin’ me, right? You can’t possibly think aliens exist in any way, shape, or form. In 1950, there was evidence of some cat spotting an alien. But like, being serious, he just needs to get new peepers. Everyone was all in a panic and come to find out, it was all an April Fool’s joke. All the buzz was for nothing cuzz. These crazy cats just like to pull our legs and take us for a ride. They just like to get a rise out of us. Aliens do NOT exist.

-Curly Sue (Miss Runner Bug’s fictitious comment character)

{In all seriousness, I had just written my comments from Curly Sue – my fictitious comment character – and I was still in the mood. Now, re-reading this, I know it probably seems like I have multiple personalitites…don’t worry. I don’t.}

Thursday’s DC – Draw a picture of how waiting for something of someone makes you feel.

Story (1/3) http://tdc.ds106.us/writings/like-are-you-for-real/

Currently, all of the Elementary Education students are waiting to hear about their Master’s specializations that will determine where they will student teach next year. So this face is something I am familiar with recently.

Now that all three of my DCs are done, I had to think about how to connect them together to tell a story. Oh boy. I should have thought about how I was going to do this ahead of time. The DCs I chose are a little hard to connect. But, like you are already aware of, I am always up for the challenge. I linked them on their original sites but will also tell you how the story went here:

WARNING: Stretch your imagination when you read the next part {my DC story}

Story (3/3)

  • My rationale: the girl is looking up in the air and is annoyed that people think aliens exist. She then begins to say the paragraph about the aliens. After she is done ranting about the nonexistance of aliens, the aliens leave her a little message on a license plate…clever.
