Eric Sena’s Album’s Without Sound project was really cool to browse through and see all the great album covers. This particular cover stood out for me for aesthetic reasons as well as how perfect it matches the album and band name. The picture captures a beautiful ocean sunset just above to horizon. The colors are very smooth and appealing. This picture captures the album title and band name perfectly. I am no physicist but when I think of “Mass Flow Rate” I think of water. Furthermore, the album name “It Goes On Forever” is captured perfectly by the endless sea and sky. The flatness of the ocean along with the smoothness of the sky provides a never-ending effect. The ocean and the sky are two things that when you look at you can’t see the end of so in your eyes it does go on forever. Lastly, the Sun pictured to the bottom of the right screen looks tiny. No matter how tiny it appears to be it is actually 92 million miles away… quite the distance. I like that he put the album title and name in the corner to not steal the attention of this beautiful image. The vertical alignment of the title provides a nice contrast to the horizontal ocean line.
