Design Create #3

If movie posters told the truth: Take a movie poster and make it say what the movie is really about, or what it is really like.

To start this design create, I though of my favorite movies and which one of them could be renamed to make more sense. Pretty Woman is one of my all-time favorites, but the movie is a fairy tale. The plot is fun and the movie can be sad and inspiring and a romantic comedy all at once, but it’s all unrealistic. The chances of a real-life millionaire picking up a prostitute on the corner and paying her to be his date and wear nice clothes, then surprisingly falling in love with her is not something that happens in real life.
I did the editing using both Photoshop and Gimp. It’s official that I absolutely hate Gimp now and I would never wish it upon anyone because the tools are way more complicated to use, and moving/changing things with selectors is not as easy as it is with Photoshop. I tried to get the exact fonts for this poster for mine, but after scouring the internet for free downloads of the font, I just used a similar one to avoid having to pay for it. Overall my poster isn’t perfect and the color is a little off, (also, the title looks a little crooked, but I swear I couldn’t make it any more vertically aligned than that!) but it was fun to do.
