Another assignment we had this week was to look at the idea of genres of YouTube videos.  We used our class google doc to come up with ideas of genres or examples of each genre.

For mine, I choose to do an example of the genre parodies.  This summer it as a pretty popular thing to do parody videos to the song Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepson.   My swim team decided that we wanted to get on board this trend after the US Olympic Swim Team made on of their own.  Here is what ours ended up looking like:

I felt like the obviously fit into the genre of parodies.  We obviously didn’t remake the original video (which you can clearly tell if you compare the two), but we did take the song and parody it.
