Diane Arbus
“Masters of Photography: Diane Arbus” was a very interesting and introspective documentary to watch. It was nice to hear the thought process of the photographer and Arbus’ unique perspective on photography. The documentary got depressing at times, but only because it got me thinking and thats a good thing. Arbus’ focus on capturing “freaks” and “outcasts” draws a reaction from me unlike most photography. These pictures make me feel very uncomfortable, which makes me appreciate the photo in a way. The fact that such a simple picture can make me feel a certain way says a lot about her skill.
