We all know him.  That extremely curious monkey who always gets in to trouble: Curious George.  But, as far as we know, George has never had ANY curiosity in those cootie-givin’ gal monkeys…until now! So George is setting off on an adventure to find a girlfriend. How you ask? Well of course by joining a dating website!

Curious George was one of the biggest cartoons I watched when I was a kid, and my sisters used to read me his adventures all the time.  He’s just a good, old-fashioned character who keeps kids young and doesn’t try to make them grow up too fast.  One of the main reason’s I chose George,was because there are so many options and different ways I could make his story go.  George is always going on an adventure, so it was simple to send him on another one!

So, if you’re not familiar with Curious George, here’s a little history on him.  George is a monkey in a series of popular children’s books written by Hans Augusto Rey and Margret Rey.  George was taken from his home in Africa to live in a city in the United States by a man in a yellow hat (Ted).  Together, they get into a whole lot of mischief and go on many adventures together.  In my opinion, it’s time for George to settle down, so he’s joining a dating website to find that lucky lady monkey.

To fluff up his site and attract those lovely ladies, George is using several assignments from our very own ds106 assignment bank, totaling 18 stars.

~ First, George must create his dating website by using the web assignment, Storytelling within the Web. *****

~ The first thing George needs on his new profile is a fantastic photo of himself, edited by the visual/design assignment, Switch up the Mood **

~ Next, he will use Pop Quiz** (another web assignment) to create a questionnaire for potential dates to take to see if they have anything in common.

~ To show off his sentimental side, George will add music to his profile by using the audio assignment, Music Mashup ***

~ Of course, Curious George is a famous celebrity, so he needs to market his movies so that he can make money.  To do this, he will be previewing his movie trailer using the mashup assignment Movie Trailer Mashup **** on his site.

~ Finally, George is going to get a lot of hits on his dating profile, and each of those beautiful monkey’s will be created by the visual/design assignment,  Make up your Pet **
