Hi guys,

My name is Fa Mulan, and today is my first day of high school. Being a teenager, I obviously needed the world to know:

When I got to school, the day started off kinda shaky. Some of the girls noticed I was new, and were trying to be nice by asking me to hang out with them, but I didn’t feel like I fit in with them… They were really girly girls; they wore their hair in really cute up-dos and wore lots of heavy makeup.

Maybe I’m not used to hanging around girls because I was pretending to be a guy for months in the Chinese army?

My first class was gym, and I was super excited because I thought I would have fun playing kickball or running around the track. But nope. Even gym class was rough for me. Here’s why:

Thankfully, gym got better, and I even made a few friends! Also, I met this really cute boy… He’s a senior and super hunky. All the girls in the school are obsessed with him. I couldn’t even concentrate in my other classes because I was drawing him all over my notes!

Isn’t he dreamy? I wonder what it would be like if we started hanging out and going out…

… Or maybe I’m just getting a little ahead of myself! I should gather up the courage to talk to him first before I start thinking about our future he he (:

Anyways, today was a huge roller coaster, but I’m excited to see how the rest of the year is going to turn out!
