Sports Mashup

Submit a video mashup of what you think are some of the greatest sports plays ever. What is the story it tells? This needs to be more than just a montage of clips, find a way to make it present a theme, an arc of ambition, a message about the moments.

For this assignment I chose to make a sports clip mashup of the Baltimore Orioles Firstbaseman Chris Davis.  I was able to piece together multiple highlights found on YouTube.  From that I was able to create a montage of different homerun clips, along with a transition between each clip. (Orioles logo) I trimmed out that transition, so I could place it between each clip to create a smoother looking production.  I then added a title and credit sequence, and also audio on top.  I reduced the video volume by 50% so that the music was in the foreground, but you could still hear the announcer.  Lastly, on the last clip of the grandslam, I copied and pasted multiple clips of the beginning of Chris Davis’ swing to give it the power replay feel.  I also made that section black and white to make it look almost like a snapshot type of thing.
