Next weekend I will be leaving for a trip to Indianapolis to work at a convention for a full week. Looking at all my gear, it dawned upon me that I don’t need to carry as much electronic equipment as I use to. For example, my laptop only weighs 3 pound compared to the 6 to 8 pounds of my old laptops. Almost everything is wireless now a days so I only need to bring a wireless mouse, WiDi adapter for the TV and of course the small power supply that weighs almost nothing. That’s it for my computer needs. On the camera front and am debating if I should only bring my point & shoot camera. My DSLR I can get real creative, especially at night. But that brings more weight and a tripod. I am leaning towards just bringing the point & shoot. Who knows on my last second decision on this.
So what should I do when I am not working in Indy? Might try out the ScottLo Street style broadcasting/podcasting. Would like to figure out how to combine uploading pictures to my blog to accompany the broadcast. Not sure if this will work. I should start off slow and ramp up to something big. For me finding a topic for a broadcast is the hardest thing. Technology wise, I have all the equipment and the know how. Just need to come up with some ideas.
