Another week draws to a close. We started work on the Radio Show this week and did some more audio work. I gotta say, audio assignments have so far been my least favourite of the bunch.
1) Daily Creates

Pretty weird daily create, in my opinion.

1732: Joseph Haydn, who composed the tune for the old German and Austrian anthems, was bornhttps://t.co/1W9NKvIgoW#tdc1732 #ds106— Evan May (@_evanmay_) October 6, 2016
Another weird one (the topic was “1732”), but I think I came up with something pretty neat.

I like how this one turned out! I’d never even thought of using panoramas to make pictures like this.
2) Assignment Bank
10/10 stars this week!
- In my first assignment, I reversed a couple songs and gave hints as to what they were.
- For my second assignment, I condensed each song from the soundtrack of a movie into just a few seconds. Each song clip was just under a second long. If you’ve seen the movie, it should probably be pretty easy to figure it out.
- In my third assignment, I removed the lyrics from a favourite song of mine. I used both Audacity’s automatic lyrics-removing function and manually removed the lyrics. I think the latter turned out a bit nicer.
Lots of assignments about music this week!
3) Radio Show Stuff
I made two posts about the radio show this week:
- I made this logoΒ for the show. Since the show’s about combining history and the internet, the logo attempts to do the same. I think it looks pretty neat!
- Here’s a short summary of the progress my group has made on our radio show this week. I hope we’ll be able to work on the show proper in the next couple of days.
And that’s all for week 6!
