Connected Daily Creates

I was camping over fall break, so I missed the chance to do the daily creates for Saturday-Tuesday, so I ended up having to do the ones for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. After Wednesday’s daily create, I decided to make a story about a really bad poet who thinks they’re great.

So, this poet tries to write a “beautiful” poem:

There are literally dozens of layers of symbolism there. Trust me. People always ask the poet why they continue to write. What they mean is “why do you keep writing, when your poems are so awful?”, but what the poet hears is “what inspires you to write?”

The poet is overflowing with creativity, and comes up with so many poems that they just have to write down. They can’t let themselves forget all these amazing poems! Lastly, the poet goes on and on about all the famous poets who inspire them.

Of course, since they’re a terrible poet, they’ve only heard of some of the most well-known poets of all time. Their biggest inspirations are thus the poets they probably had to read in high school.

So yeah, short little story about a bad poet!
