Weekly Summary: Week 3

So what got done in CT101 this week you ask? Quite a lot actually! First I need to address the awesomeness that was the following….

guardians_parks

As a huge Parks and Rec fan and as a Marvel fan (still can’t believe a Guardians of the Galaxy movie was greenlit in the first place), it was a wonderful way to start my week. Hope it wasn’t too off topic for class but I needed to share it with the internet.

Anyway, I guess i’ll move on to my Daily Creates. This week I did 4 of them, one of which was a modified daily create from the week before. Being I finally figured out how to post a Soundcloud audiofile, it was only right I share my beautiful rendition of Message in a Bottle with my dear readers. I was also able to post four seconds of my horribly out of tune two-string guitar.

I also was able to post a picture of a slice of Key Lime Pie in response to the Daily Create asking for a picture of something we made. And boy was it delicious. Finally, I posted a picture of my awesome high school diploma as my biggest achievement. I thought about maybe posting a picture of a Cardinal like a few of my classmates did, but I felt I needed to post something I finished already. I’m in the process of finishing college so I wouldn’t say I’m quite there yet.

And the biggest assignment of the week of course was the Say it Like Peanut Butter GIF challenge. Using Photoshop (which I now have a free trial of until further notice, so go me) I was able to make a large but satisfactory first attempt at making this Harry Potter-esque moving picture. Plus its comic book related. For those of you sensing a theme with my blog posts and assignments, you’re really onto something.

Overall this week was a pretty conductive one. I learned a few things that can only help me in the long run. Week four is go tomorrow! Let’s get it started!
