“Pick A Bad Photo, Apply A Vintage Effect And Write Something In Helvetica”
Searching through my phone pictures I found this gem I took over spring break in a canyon near my house. To give the vintage feel I started by going to ‘filters’ and setting the ‘gausian blur’ to 5.0,5.0. This gave the photo a blur but did not produce a color effect. My next step was to go to ‘tools’ and change the ‘color balance’ by setting ‘cyan’ to -18. This produced more of a vintage effect however I wanted the colors to be more grey but not all of them. My last step was to go to ‘color’ and ‘hue saturation’ and I changed the ‘hue’ to -54, the ‘lightness’ to -41, and the ‘saturation’ to -56. The lightness and saturation provided the depressing look I was going for while the hue provided a more hopeful and inspiring color at the top of the hill. Finally I searched google for a quote about uphill battes and found the perfect one for my motivational poster.
