These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things

“We tend to surround ourselves with things that make us happy. Take a photo in your house or workplace and then find a creative way to make your favorite things about that space stand out. No limit to how many things you highlight, but make it interesting and intriguing.”

Much like the “Focus on one color” assignment, I utilized Photoshop to select the certain objects that are some of my favorite things.  Then by creating masks and adjusting the hue and saturation of the unselected areas, I was able to make my favorite things stand out from the background, really making them “pop” and drawing the audience in to the picture.

It was a pretty easy decision to take a picture of this corner of my room.  It includes a couple of my favorite things, baseball and guitar.  This is the second assignment that I’ve included baseball as a major focal point of the photo.  Guitar too is something I really enjoy to do in my free and spare time.  It’s something that I’ve taught myself how to play, and I think having done that, it makes it that much more special of a hobby/activity!
