The Eye Exchange

For this assignment we were supposed to take a picture of someones eye and replace it with a circular object that tells about who that person is.  This is a picture of my own eye as I racked my brain for circular objects I couldn’t think of anything better right now than a flower, particularly a sunflower.  I love the summer sunshine, which always makes me think of sunflowers. I love the fact that sunflowers position themselves towards the sun, which I think also says a lot about me – whenever I am faced with a difficult situation I always try to look at the positives and realign my perspective to keep ‘facing the sun.’  I also lived in Kansas for a year of my life and the sunflower is the state flower, so it reminds me of a great time in my child hood.

For this picture I actually originally used Instagram for the filter.  I then went to pixlr.com overlayed a tie-dye image on the photo and added the sunflower.
