“Write a story from the point of view of your favorite food, but don’t say what it is. Make us guess.”

It started out just like every other day, cold, quiet, and a lot of people passing by me.  However it all changed in a quick second.  Out of nowhere someone grabbed me and threw me down on some cold metal bars.  The journey began.  We went flying down the aisles, the food whizzed by on either side.  We finally came to a stop, the beeping sound in the background though was deafening.   After a short stop, the journey continued until I was thrown in the dark trunk of a car.  It was impossible for me to know where we were going.  We finally came to a stop and all I could hear was dogs barking, kids running around and playing, a lawn mower and a sprinkler in the distance.  I figured out that we must have arrived at my destination.  I concluded after some deliberation that I was in a neighborhood or house of some sort. I was quickly carried inside and immediately placed inside a cool pool of a sweet and smokey smelling liquid.  It honestly was one of the best baths I’ve ever had in my life.  Apparently my journey was not over as I was carried outside and placed on some red hot metal.  The smoke and fire was so intense, unlike anything else I have ever experienced.  I finally realized that after this journey, I was sitting on a plate with a bunch of my friends, as all of the people I heard when I first arrived at my destination, came running towards us.  My friends and I, just looked at each other and knew that this had to be the end.
