Hey fellow ds106ers. Felt like I should share this with everyone. This past Friday, I was on my husband’s computer looking at Visual Assignments to do. I was on the ds106 site under sumbit an assignment and was looking through the various assignments. Well I clicked one, unfortunately I can’t remember which one, and then my browser closed immediately. I tried to reopen my browser but I was not able to. There was a message saying that a virus was discovered and I had to buy this program to get rid of it. Well that was the virus talking. Thankfully I didn’t purchase it and we had a friend who was able to fix the computer. But I just thought I would share with everyone what had happened.

Has this happened to anyone else? And do you think it was even related to what I was viewing at the time?
